Well, I’ll tell you.
First, I apologize for being remiss in posting regularly. I promised to post once per week, and my last post was over a month ago.
Although I have not posted, I have been diligent in working toward my goals, and the last few weeks have been insanely busy. INSANELY busy.
I’ve been working with two business advisors/mentors on finalizing my investor presentation, and I’ve even presented to a group of potential investors. One is interested, but we’ll see, right? (That’s my answer for everything: “We’ll see.”)
Jim is my main advisor, and we’ve been working together since Thanksgiving on financial projections, my deck*, and strategy. Two weeks ago Jim introduced me to Don, former Chairman of the Tech Coast Angels, one of the largest, most prestigious Angel investment groups in the country.
Don’s company, TriTech, helps a few select startups with every aspect of stating up, including raising capital, and he does it for FREE! And I became one of his clients, which is very exciting. See, TriTech is part of the Small Business Development Center contracted by the state to help small businesses.
Don has helped with the latest iteration of my deck and now thinks it’s ready to show. WOOT!
I’ll be in New York City Sunday through Friday, mostly on business. Monday night I’ll be interviewed on the radio on CityWorldRadio, and then Tuesday, I’ll be presenting to three potential investors a dear friend introduced me to.
My writing partner and I have also, just this past Monday night, finished our first draft of our animated feature script. We outlined and wrote it in four weeks, and by weeks, I mean writing just a few hours a week. BOOM!
I have also been getting up early and going to the gym 6 days per week— every day except Sunday. There have been a few exception where I had to go in the afternoon, only because Chauncey is 17, and being a senior dog, is sometimes up a lot at night which affects my sleep negatively.
HOWEVER… Last weekend, I started to feel run down. I thought it was because I was working out so much and working hard every day. But, as it turns out, I developed a cold and have been unable to work out for the last few days, which truly bums me out.
I am committed, but I have to take care of myself, too. While I’m in New York, I’ll be working out as soon as I feel well enough.
To update you on my stats, I started at 164lbs. and just over 19% body fat. I’m currently 160lbs., 16% body fat. GOAL = 164lbs, 8% body fat.
And there’s still 278 days to go. Will I hit all these goals? YOU DAMN RIGHT I WILL!
So… How was your four weeks? **
